Privacy Policy

Effective date: 24 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sportra (Sportra, “we”, “us”) processes personal and device information when you use our website and services at https://sportra.live (the “Service”). It is designed to align with common industry practice for content-driven sports and media products, including where users may create an account or use features such as match coverage, statistics, news, and interactive tools.

If you do not agree with this Policy, you should not use the Service. For contractual terms of use, see our Terms of Service. We may update this Policy from time to time; the “Effective date” above will change, and in some cases we will provide additional notice. Continued use after changes means you acknowledge the updated Policy, where our legal basis for doing so allows.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

The data controller for personal data under this Policy is the operating entity that offers Sportra. For data-protection requests, contact us at the email listed in Section 10.

2. What information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:

  • Account and contact data — if you register or sign in (for example email, display name, authentication identifiers from email or social login providers, and account preferences).
  • Technical and usage data — such as device type, browser and operating system, language, approximate location derived from IP address (typically at city or region level), session identifiers, timestamps, and pages or features you view, to run, secure, and improve the Service and to understand product usage in aggregate.
  • Communications — content of messages you send to us (e.g. support requests via Contact) and our replies.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 5.
  • Data we do not intend to request from you for core browsing — we do not require your full physical address, government ID, or health data to browse public match and news content. If you choose to provide extra information, we will only use it for the purpose you expect or as described when you provide it.

Third-party and public sports content. Sportradisplays match information, statistics, and editorial or aggregated news that may be supplied by third-party data or media partners. That content may include public team, player, and competition names, scores, and schedules. It is not provided by you; we process it to deliver the Service, under our agreements and those partners’ terms where applicable.

3. How and why we use information (purposes and legal bases)

We use the categories above to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account (contract / legitimate interests).
  • Authenticate sessions, protect against abuse, and secure our systems (legitimate interests / legal duty).
  • Analyze usage in aggregated or de-identified form to improve features and performance (legitimate interests).
  • Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests (legal obligation).
  • Send service-related or transactional messages (contract / legitimate interests; marketing only where you opt in where required).

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar law applies, we rely on the bases above as appropriate, including: performance of a contract, legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights, consent where required, and legal obligation.

4. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers and subprocessors who help us host, deliver, and secure the Service (e.g. cloud infrastructure, email delivery, analytics, customer support tools), under contracts that require appropriate security and use limitations.
  • Data and content partners that supply or enrich sports and news information shown in the app, subject to their and our contractual terms.
  • Professional advisers where necessary (e.g. lawyers, auditors).
  • Authorities or third parties when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, or property of Sportra, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the successor to respect this Policy or notify you of changes as required by law.

We do not sell your personal information for money, as “sell” is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), in the common industry sense of exchanging personal data for cash consideration in a data broker context.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for essential functions (e.g. security, load balancing, session), preferences, and where permitted, audience measurement. You can control many cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how the Service works.

6. International transfers

We may process and store data in the United States and other countries. If we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries not deemed to provide an adequate level of protection, we use appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or other mechanisms recognized by law, and we will provide more detail on request where required.

7. Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Retention periods vary: for example, account data may be kept for the life of the account plus a reasonable period thereafter; server logs on a rolling basis; support correspondence according to support policies.

8. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit where standard for web traffic, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk to the extent not prohibited by law.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, or request portability in a structured, machine-readable format where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior lawful processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (e.g. in your EU member state, or the ICO in the UK).
  • If you are a California resident, to know what personal information we collect, to delete certain information subject to exceptions, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising or “sale” / sharing as defined under CPRA, where applicable, via a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link or preference where we offer such use.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the address in Section 10. We may need to verify your identity. Authorized agents can submit requests in line with applicable law.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction to consent to use without parental permission). We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete the information.

11. Contact us
